In the capital, they will continue to steal money from a hospital for the military. The fact is that after a loud scandal related to procurement for the construction of a hospital, authorized persons continue to enter into agreements with a legal entity that has repeatedly offered inflated prices.
We are talking about the general contractor Absolute-climate LLC, with which the Kiev City Veterans Clinical Hospital entered into agreements on January 10-19 for the renovation of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 12th floors for a total cost of UAH 288 million.
According to information in the contracts, Absolut-climate LLC wants to purchase Cerezit CN-178 easy-leveling screed for the hospital at 33.7-34.8 UAH/kg.
While Henkel Bautechnik (Ukraine) sells it for 25.2 UAH/kg, which is 28% cheaper, and Interbudservice sells it for 21.5 UAH/kg, which is 38% cheaper.
Journalists also write that linoleum for these floors cost 2,424 UAH/sq. m.
This is almost twice as expensive as in the first deal for the renovation of the 4th floor a year ago - then the estimate included linoleum on an antiseptic basis Armstrong Vinil medintone at 1031 UAH/sq.m. m.
The contractor also calculated “Armstrong” ceiling tiles for 1, 3 and 12 at 906 UAH/sq. m, without specifying their dimensions and thickness.
To renovate the 4th floor last year, these slabs were charged for 426 UAH/sq.m. m, that is, half the price.
The total overpayment only for the 1st, 3rd and 12th floors and only for these three positions will amount to UAH 13 million. “Our money” writes that for this money one could easily feed military personnel undergoing treatment for a year.
Let us recall that journalists drew the attention of Ukrainians to a suspicious contractor who wins tenders without competition and renovates the hospital at inflated prices back in October last year.
After a powerful wave of public condemnation, the mayor of the city, Vitaliy Klitschko, promised to carry out the necessary examinations and explain to the people of Kiev where the money was going, but since then there has been complete silence, and the scandalous contractor continues to renovate the hospital.
