$400 per session: an official of the National Academy of Internal Affairs got burned due to a bribe

Under the procedural leadership of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a police lieutenant colonel, heading a department of one of the institutes of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, was exposed and reported a suspicion of receiving unlawful benefits (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Based on the results of the investigation, it became known that the suspect demanded that the students of the study group make a “charitable contribution” to her. Accordingly, for this she promised to assist future lawyers, as well as to give positive assessments of their educational achievements. In addition, in exchange for $400, the official promised to help two students pass the exam successfully.

During the investigation, it was recorded that she received a bribe in the amount of more than 37 thousand hryvnia.

Law enforcement officers detained her under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine when she accepted the second part of the agreed amount.

The operation to identify and detain the bribe-taker was carried out by prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office together with operatives of the Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation continues. According to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until his guilt is proven by an appropriate court decision.
