60% of Kyiv bridges are on the verge of collapse: “Everything is for friends, but for others it’s the law of Ukraine”

On the air of “We-Ukraine”, shocking data on the condition of bridges in Kyiv was made public, as stated by the chairman of the Kyiv City Council’s standing commission on budget, socio-economic development and investment activities.

Andrei Vitrenko said that more than 60% of the capital’s bridges are in extremely poor condition. This causes serious concern among residents and poses a real security threat.

The head of the commission expressed concern that city officials are choosing to invest in small “wow” projects rather than effectively managing infrastructure repairs and maintenance.

This approach, in his opinion, not only does not solve current problems, but also creates a real threat to city residents:

“The city of Kyiv is guided by the law - “everything is for friends, and for others it is the law of Ukraine,” Vitrenko could not restrain himself.

Let us recall that on June 19, residents of the capital witnessed the partial collapse of the Vozdukhoflotsky Bridge, which became evidence of the inaction and unprofessionalism of the authorities. Angry Kiev residents are demanding concrete action from the authorities to prevent similar incidents in the future and ensure safety on the city's roads.
