Since the beginning of a full-scale war, the State Tax Service does not know the income data of 13.1 million of the 43.1 million citizens registered in the state register of individuals.
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Daniil Getmantsev reported this on Telegram.
“Since the beginning of the war, 7.4 million Ukrainians (minus pensioners, children and persons registered in the occupied territories), according to the Tax Service, have not received a penny of income,” Getmantsev wrote.
He suggested that they still receive income, but illegally.
“In fact, we understand that they receive income, but they receive it as a steal, without paying taxes... The figure is even more shocking when you realize that over the past 10 years, the same number of taxpayers who have not received a penny is 4, 7 million people,” added the Chairman of the Committee.
As reported, according to the State Tax Service, as of 2019, there were 44.1 million citizens in the state register of individuals, of which 13.4 million of the economically active population did not receive any income. At the same time, 11.6 million citizens received salaries, including 2.1 million pensioners. At the same time, 6.4 million people were registered in the occupied territories at that time.
