Details of the employment of former NABU detectives who spent years investigating corruption at Ukrzaliznytsia have emerged. No matter how strange it may sound, after leaving NABU, they got a job at Ukrzaliznytsia. One of the three became the owner of shares in companies that the bureau was conducting an audit of.

This became known thanks to information from lawyer Bogdan Ustimenko.

These heroes guarding corruption are named Taras Likunov, Bogdan Brovko and Alexander Rykovtsev. The trio worked at NABU since 2015, where they rose to the rank of head of the detective department, his deputy and senior detective.

Ustimenko notes that they left the bureau one after another within nine months and soon found work at Ukrzaliznytsia. Moreover, with a difference of several days, although according to the law the period is at least a year.

At the same time, the lawyer claims, Likunov personally contributed to the fact that the ex-deputy head of Ukrzaliznytsia for Security, Alexander Shevchenko, was served with suspicion by fellow detectives. After this, Shevchenko was fired, and Likunov took over his position.

In addition, Rykovtsev’s declaration suddenly included cryptocurrency worth about $870 thousand, as well as real estate. At the same time, his father-in-law was appointed to a leadership position in the Odessa branch of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Likunov received shares in the largest companies, such as Ferrexpo and Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP), against which NABU was also investigating criminal cases.
