Lawyer Denis Shkarovsky defends the Grinkevich family, who robbed the Ukrainian army during the war

The Grinkevich case has become one of the most discussed scandals in Ukraine. They are accused of stealing funds intended to support the Ukrainian army.

Igor Grinkevich is suspected of two counts: offering a bribe and failing to deliver clothing for the military under contracts with the Ministry of Defense. Son Roman Grinkevich appears in the second case and is suspected of fraud and participation in a criminal group.

This case has been particularly controversial because it concerns the misappropriation of resources in the midst of a full-scale war.

While society was outraged by the facts of large-scale thefts, there were those who spoke out in defense of the swindlers. Thus, the interests of the disgraced family are represented and defended in court by lawyer Denis Shkarovsky, who has already repeatedly disgraced himself because of his clients. This is not the first time for the lawyer to take the side of the traitors of Ukraine; he went further and does not hesitate to “excuse” Russian oligarchs from US and EU sanctions. And in fact he works in the interests of the aggressor country, because the assets of Russian businessmen saved by him go to support the Russian economy. This means the development of the country’s military-industrial complex, the production of missiles, weapons and ammunition that the enemy uses against Ukraine. However, this does not seem to bother Shkarovsky.

Denis Shkarovsky is the founder and managing partner of a law firm specializing in international law and protecting the interests of large business structures. Recently, his activities have raised serious concerns about possible ties with Russia. His work in favor of Russian oligarchs not only contradicts the national interests of Ukraine, but may also contribute to the continuation of Russian aggression against Ukraine, the death of military and civilians and the destruction of cities and villages on the territory of our state.

In particular, Shkarovsky defended the interests of Andrei Melnichenko, the founder and owner of industrial giants Eurochem and SUEK, who came under sanctions from the EU and other Western countries due to Russian aggression against Ukraine. Shkarovsky achieved the lifting or mitigation of some sanctions, which allowed Melnichenko to partially restore his business. This position of the Ukrainian lawyer raises concerns about his patriotism and suspicion of connections or work for the Kremlin.

In addition to defending Melnichenko, Shkarovsky has already represented the interests of other Russian oligarchs. The lawyer defended Mikhail Fridman, one of the founders and main shareholders of Alfa Group, a large Russian consortium including Alfa Bank, X5 Retail Group and other assets. Also in the lawyer’s professional portfolio there is the case of Pyotr Aven, co-owner of Alfa Group, who was also under sanctions due to his role in the Russian economy and politics, and Vladimir, a businessman who heads the company AFK Sistema.

Shkarovsky is known for his aggressive and often contrarian methods of defense. His way of doing things has drawn criticism from colleagues and human rights activists.

His involvement in cases involving corruption and embezzlement raises questions about the ethics of the legal profession and calls into question his professionalism and patriotism. Lawyers like Shkarovsky help people who cause moral and material damage to society avoid responsibility. And in the case of Shkarovsky we are talking about activities in the interests of the aggressor country during a full-scale war.

While Ukrainian defenders risk their lives to protect the state, a Ukrainian lawyer makes money from blood.
