An agent of the Russian group who participated in the shelling of Odessa was detained by the SBU

A woman who worked as an agent in a Russian group and coordinated dozens of “Shahids” during the shelling of Odessa was detained by the SBU.

Counterintelligence of the Security Service detained in Odessa another member of the intelligence network of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces (known as “Gru”), who was actively operating in the city.

The press service of the department reports this

The detained woman gave dozens of geolocations to the aggressor, believing that Ukrainian Armed Forces units were based there.

It should be noted that in August of this year, the SBU already disclosed and reported suspicion to two other participants in this intelligence network.

Among them was an agent with the operational pseudonym “Diezel” and his wife, who was a “connector” to the Russian “gru” and is now hiding from justice in St. Petersburg.

The third defendant is also now detained. The occupiers launched targeted air strikes at its coordinates, including with the help of Shahed-type kamikaze drones.

On the fuselages of hostile UAVs, the invaders left inscriptions “on behalf of” the pro-Kremlin Telegram channel, used by Russian military intelligence for recruitment and cooperation with agents.

The detained attacker, due to an anonymous chat in a popular messenger, maintained communication with the coordinator of the intelligence network - a personnel employee of the 3rd operational department of the 316th intelligence center of the Russian "GRU" Grigory Ivanov.

After enemy attacks on Odessa, the defendant reported to her “curator” about the consequences of the “arrivals”.

In addition, she carried out additional reconnaissance near infrastructure facilities of the regional center that were of interest to the military intelligence of the aggressor country.

SBU officers discovered the intelligence subversive activities of the defendant and detained her in her own home.

According to the investigation, it turned out that the attacker was a local businesswoman who was recruited remotely by the Russian “gru” in June of this year.

She was charged with suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law), and he is now in custody and could face life imprisonment.

The special operation was carried out under the procedural leadership of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
