Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense headed by Marina Bezrukova

Ex-member of the board of Ukrenergo Marina Bezrukova has been appointed director of the state enterprise of the Ministry of Defense, the Defense Procurement Agency.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, according to Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Klimenkov, the ministry is building a new procurement architecture that must meet NATO standards.

“Changing management is the first step towards a radical reboot of the Defense Acquisition Agency. Our priority is timely and high-quality provision of our soldiers with everything they need. No room for corruption,” he said.

As stated in the statement of the Ministry of Defense, it is further planned to create a Supervisory Board for managers of international level.

Marina Bezrukova has worked at NEC Ukrenergo since January 2017 as a member of the board, director of supply chain management, etc.

Prior to this, Bezrukova worked in the corporate sector in companies in different segments of the economy.

It was previously reported that on November 1, 2023, the Ministry of Defense announced a change in the rules for purchasing products for the Ukrainian military. From December 1, all purchases are once again handled by the State Logistics Operator, headed by Arsen Zhumadelov.

Let us recall that the head of the procurement organization of the Ministry of Defense “State Logistics Operator” Arsen Zhumadilov admitted that his wife has a Russian passport. At first, the official called this document “insignificant” and could not be an obstacle to his work in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, but later announced his intentions to initiate the procedure for renouncing a Russian passport.
