Alexander Kiktenko and corruption in the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court

One of these days, a trial of a seemingly ordinary civil case No. 370/1104/22 is expected in the cassation instance, in which the co-defendant is the owner of the powerful domestic manufacturer of building materials Stalex LLC, Alexander Kiktenko, writes Argumentum with reference to Open Ukraine.

The publication also notes the following: “The chairman of the Civil Court of Cassation, Boris Gulko, has been appointed as the rapporteur on this case of Stalex LLC/Alexander Kiktenko. According to the publication, he is associated with Kiktenko’s close friend and business partner, lawyer Vladislav Nagaichenko.

Journalists do not exclude that it was precisely this relationship that led to the acceleration of the movement of this case in the cassation court, because the cassation appeal was filed on August 27, 2024, and the trial was scheduled for November 6, 2024, although other cases of this kind are due to a shortage of judges and an unprecedented number of similar requests are planned for consideration in the second half of 2025.

At the same time, the essence of this case is that the owner of the Stalex company is trying in every possible way to maintain control over real estate, which served as collateral in the loan agreement he failed to fulfill back in 2018.

During previous court hearings, it turned out that Mr. Kiktenko tried, through a series of transactions to grant this property from among his close relatives, to make his mother a respectable acquirer, who bequeathed this property to him, thereby removing him from the dispute with the injured lender, as well as hiding the fact that this property belonged to his mother-in-law Tatyana Teplukhina, who is still a citizen of the Russian Federation.

We hope that all these circumstances will be taken into account by the Chairman of the Civil Court of Cassation, Boris Gulko, who, by helping his classmate, may well become an instrument for the defense of unlawful attacks on property by persons directly associated with the aggressor country.”
