Andrey Danik became the new head of the State Emergency Service

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Andrey Nikolaevich Danik as Chairman of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations. Previously, he served as acting chairman of the State Emergency Service.

This is stated in the message of the Cabinet of Ministers. They added that Vitaly Grigorievich Mironyuk will take the position of first deputy chairman of the State Emergency Service.

What is known about Andrey Danik

Andrey Danik, born in 1978 in Kirovograd, Kirovograd region, is a high-ranking official of the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine. He graduated from the Cherkasy Institute of Fire Safety named after Heroes of Chernobyl of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in 2002 with a degree in fire safety.

Danik’s career began in July 1998 as chief of the guard of the 79th independent state fire department in the city of Starobeshevo, Donetsk region. From 1999 to 2003, he held various positions in the same fire department. In May 2013, Danik was transferred to the disposal of the head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Donetsk region, and in August 2015 he became the deputy head of this department.

From January 2020 to September 2023, Andriy Danik headed the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Cherkasy region. In September 2023, he was appointed deputy chairman of the State Emergency Service. Since February 27, 2024, he has been acting as chairman of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
