Artur Gerasimov “forgot” to declare a villa near Kiev and “a little” jewelry

The family of people's deputy Artur Gerasimov, who escaped punishment for an undeclared villa in Spain, lives in a luxurious house near Kiev, which was also not included in the declaration.

The last declaration of the co-chairman of the EU faction, like most people’s deputies, was submitted in 2021. It declares two apartments, three garages and wife Natalya’s car. Gerasimov listed his Range Rover in 2018, Breguet and IWC watches, one million hryvnia, 69 thousand dollars and 17 thousand euros. The wife earned 86 thousand UAH that year and had no savings.

“Flashforward to 2023, almost three years without an open declaration, the daughter of the couple on social networks shows the country house in which the family lives. As confirmation, in October Natalya Bukhalova was looking for a nanny for her children on Facebook and indicated that the family lived near Kiev,” the authors write.

Gerasimov’s wife Natalya is a sociologist and, despite her modest earnings, can boast of precious jewelry, which she showed off online. In the photo from 2021, the woman is wearing a Graff ring worth $22,000; in the photo from 2022, De Grisogono earrings cost almost $18,000.

Let us remind you that People's Deputy Artur Gerasimov escaped punishment for failing to include Spanish property in the declaration after the statute of limitations had expired. On November 15, the HACC Appeals Chamber overturned the court verdict of August, which found the people's deputy guilty of failing to declare a villa in Alicante, Spain. This summer, the Gerasimov family vacationed in a family villa.

In April 2021, “Schemes” reported that the co-chairman of the European Solidarity faction, Artur Gerasimov, did not declare a two-story estate in Spain, which he and his wife have owned since 2013.

The people's representative did not include in the amended declaration for 2020 information about the two-story residential premises and parking space owned by him and his wife, located in the Kingdom of Spain, with a total value of 252 thousand euros, as well as the presence of monetary assets in the amount of 1,657 US dollars, which were placed in accounts in one of the Ukrainian banks.

On 08/17/2023, the panel of judges of the Supreme Court of Justice found the said people’s deputy guilty of entering deliberately false information into the annual declaration for 2020, that is, of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (as amended by the Law of Ukraine dated December 4, 2020 No. 1074-IX). According to the court verdict, a fine in the amount of 51 thousand UAH was imposed with deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the performance of functions of a government representative in government bodies for a period of 1 year. At the same time, the court dismissed the person from punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
