Newly appointed Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that Ukraine needs to increase the defense capabilities of domestic producers.

Direct speech: “Among the important strategic tasks is we must increase the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian manufacturer. Everything that can be produced in Ukraine should be produced in Ukraine.”
Details: Umerov noted that the Ministry of Defense, for its part, will provide Ukrainian manufacturers with the maximum possible contracts.
In addition, he noted that among the top priorities is preparing the necessary infrastructure for the full operation of F-16 fighters.
His team also intends to conduct an audit of all areas under the Ministry of Defense.
