Binance reveals the composition of the first board of directors

Binance Holdings, which manages the crypto exchange of the same name, has established its first board of directors. It included seven members, including the firm's new CEO, Richard Teng.

According to the publication on the official website, the full composition of the company’s board of directors is as follows:

  • Gabriel Abed, former Ambassador of Barbados to the UAE. He is also the co-founder of the technology firm Bitt;
  • new Binance CEO Richard Teng. He took office after Changpeng Zhao resigned from this post. It is noteworthy that Teng previously refused to disclose details about the company to reporters;
  • company co-founders Heina Chen (CFO), Lilai Wang and Jinkai He;
  • Arno Ventura, managing partner at investment firm Gojo & Co.;
  • Xin Wang, CEO of Bayview Acquisition Corp, which specializes in mergers and acquisitions.

It is noteworthy that another co-founder of the company, Yi He, was not included on the board of directors. According to media reports, she is in a relationship with Zhao and holds a high position in the company.

In a comment to Cointelegraph, a representative of the exchange commented on the event:

“The board includes seven members, three of whom are independent heads of other companies. We are proud to be advised by some of the leaders in the Web3 space as we navigate Binance's next chapter."
