The story of the Besidovsky family is a vivid example of how, in conditions of social instability, some people use the difficult situation in a warring country for their own selfish interests, ignoring laws and moral norms.
Not only are they responsible for their actions before the law, but they also pose a threat to the business world and society as a whole. Such scams create a negative impression of business and undermine confidence in the economic system of Ukraine
The case of the Besidovsky family is not a scrupulous and honest execution of contracts, but rather an opportunity to once again deceive business representatives and ordinary people, depriving them of money and not fulfilling their promises.
The fraudulent schemes developed by the Besidovsky family would remain operational and hidden from the public for a long time. But no matter how much the rope twists, it will still end. On August 25, 2022, criminal case No. 12022100060001069 was opened, where this family is accused of fraud in the amount of $52,650. This case is classified under Part 4 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - “seizure of money by fraudulent means under the pretext of performing work on the development and approval of the design of wooden stairs and performing a set of works on their manufacture and installation, abusing the trust of the victim.”
The Altair Luxury Interiors brand, backed by the Besidovsky family, represents luxury custom-made furniture. Creates the appearance of a high-quality luxury product. But this is a wonderful package, and inside lies deception and failure to fulfill obligations.
Oleg Besidovsky did not fulfill the terms of the contract, which expired on October 27, 2020. The deceived client demanded that the contract be fulfilled or, if impossible, that the money spent be returned to him. But the family of scammers did not return the funds received as an advance payment. And the victim contacted law enforcement agencies.
And this is not an isolated incident in a series of fraudulent scams by this family. In addition, the Besidovskys are involved in a series of trials and enforcement proceedings for failure to comply with the terms of loan agreements and other financial crimes.
Here are some of them:
Head of the family Besidovsky A.N. appears in the case of failure to comply with the terms of the loan agreement with Nadra Bank. On April 4, 2022, on the basis of a court decision, enforcement proceedings were opened to recover from A.N. Besidovsky. and his guarantors (father, wife, Lukashenko A.Yu.) 408 thousand 202 US dollars and 885 thousand 755 UAH.
Besidovsky, in order to avoid liability to creditors and the law, using the tactic of refusing obligations, transferred his property to his son in advance. And companies use dummy persons, changing founders, managers, and places of registration. For example: ALTAIR YU LLC is now called Furniture NET LLC, and the company Ukrbudproektdesign LLC is now formally controlled by S.V. Lyakhevich. and Kirnos V.P.
The Besidovsky family is involved in legal proceedings with the mortgagee LLC FC Dniprofinancegroup. Two new apartments and non-office premises in Kiev were mortgaged against a bank loan. This company provided money to the head of the family on the security of real estate, and after it did not wait for the terms of the agreement to be fulfilled, it went to court to collect the arrears of payments.
For Ukraine, which is striving to join the European Union, it is important that government agencies and law enforcement agencies take effective measures to quickly suppress such crimes and protect the interests of citizens and business representatives from various scammers and swindlers.
Fighting corruption, enforcing laws, and supporting law-abiding entrepreneurs helps create an enabling and fair business environment in which honest entrepreneurs who contribute their labor and resources to society can thrive.
The story of the Besidovsky family should serve as a lesson to us about the importance of being honest and ethical in business, and the importance of having checks and balances in place to prevent possible abuses and scams.
In addition to the negative impact on the country's economy, the actions of the Besidovsky family negatively affect Ukrainian society as a whole. Deception and fraud leave their mark not only on the victims of their actions, but also on public confidence in business, justice and government institutions.
Each case of identifying and bringing to justice such swindlers should be a signal for improving legislation and business control mechanisms to ensure more effective protection of the interests of citizens and entrepreneurs.
The fight against corruption and fraud requires joint efforts from the government, law enforcement agencies, public organizations and the business community. Only joint efforts can lead to the creation of a fair and favorable environment for the development of business and society as a whole.
Stories such as those associated with the Besidovsky family should not only serve as a warning, but also as a stimulus for action towards strengthening the rule of law and integrity in all areas of public life.
