British intelligence says Russian forces control large parts of the destroyed city of Marinka

As noted in the report, Ukrainian forces still control sections of the territory on the western outskirts of the city.

Marinka has been on the front line since 2014. Before the war its population was 9,000 people. According to British intelligence, it is now completely destroyed: drone footage shows that the vast majority of buildings have been reduced to ruins.

“Russia's renewed activities in Marinka are part of Russia's autumn offensive, which prioritizes expanding Russian control over the remaining parts of the Donetsk region. It is very likely that this is still one of the Kremlin’s main military targets,” the British Ministry of Defense notes.

Let us remind you that President Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting in Zaporozhye on November 30 and discussed issues of strengthening in all main areas where it is necessary to speed up the construction of fortifications .

“Of course, this is primarily Avdeevskoe, Maryinskoe and other areas in the Donetsk region - maximum attention,” he said.
