CleanSpark announced daily production of a record 48 BTC after Bitcoin halving

Bitcoin miner CleanSpark presented a report on Bitcoin mining and operations for April 2024. The company said it received 721 BTC ($42.7 million) during the mentioned period.

According to available data, after the Bitcoin halving, the miner mined a record 48 BTC per day. At the time of writing, this asset volume is estimated at $2.8 million.

CleanSpark CEO Zach Bradford said the company's hashrate reached 17.3 EH/s last month. The overall efficiency of the mining park was 24.22 J/TH, with a total number of Bitcoin mining installations of 136,496 units.

As of April 30, 2024, the company had 5,739 BTC ($344 million) on its balance sheet. Last month, CleanSpark sold 2.88 BTC at a price of about $64,000. At the same time, the average daily Bitcoin production for the mentioned period was 24 BTC.

The company also noted that after the fourth halving of the block reward, some miners are curtailing their activities. According to CleanSpark representatives, the reason for this decision lies in the insufficient efficiency of the equipment of individual cryptocurrency mining enterprises.

According to Bradford, the company managed to achieve good Bitcoin mining results thanks to the implementation of S21 installations. CleanSpark is using this equipment at its expanding sites. S21 made it possible to increase production volumes and optimize operating costs, the CEO emphasized.

Bradford also noted the high fees on the Bitcoin network that were observed immediately after the halving. This allowed the company to increase revenue, said the head of CleanSpark.

“The significant increase in transaction fees immediately following the halving significantly increased our production this month, resulting in a noticeable increase in Bitcoin reserves,” Bradford said.

Since the beginning of the year, CleanSpark has mined 2,752 BTC. This volume of the first cryptocurrency at the time of publication is estimated at $166 million.
