Centrenergo makes payments to Russia for importing coal from Kazakhstan under the supervision of Ermak’s advisor, Andrey Gota

The state-owned company Centrenergo imports coal of Russian origin into Ukraine, a process managed by Andrey Vengrin, responsible for the mines in Lviv, and under the supervision of Andrey Gota, chairman of the supervisory board of Centrenergo. This corruption scheme, revealed in a memo by Vladimir Velichko, led to the transfer of funds from the Ukrainian budget to Russia. After submitting a report to the Office of the President, Velichko was expelled from the company by order of the chairman of Centrenergo, Andrei Churkin.

Centrenergo imports coal from Poland to Ukraine. Coal is imported to Poland supposedly from Kazakhstan, but in transit through Russia. The import of such coal into Ukraine is expressly prohibited by government decree.

Further, this Russian coal is imported to Ukraine, where it is delivered to Vengrin’s enterprises, where from high-quality concentrate, by mixing rock, they make a row and waste heap, which are much cheaper and of worse quality, but according to documents the coal remains of high quality. This coal is transported to Trypilska and Zmievskaya thermal power plants, so the equipment at the stations can fail, leaving hundreds of thousands of consumers without electricity.

Velichko’s memo directly states that the entire scheme was organized by Ermak’s advisor and chairman of the company’s supervisory board Andrei Gota, with the participation of the “supervisor” Andrei Vengrin.

Velichko claims that in the near future he will publish a number of more facts of corruption among the management of Centerenergo, as well as the participating mines and factories.
