Danilov explained why the West is delaying the supply of long-range weapons to Ukraine

Ukraine wants the same ATACMS to be delivered as quickly as possible, but partner countries have their own processes.

NSDC Secretary Alexey Danilov answered the question why Western partners are delaying the supply of long-range weapons to Ukraine, NV reports.

If we take, for example, ATACMS missiles, the Ukrainian side, of course, really wants their delivery to take place immediately. At the same time, Danilov emphasized, we need to be aware of the indisputable fact that each state, including our partner countries, has its own processes.

“Let's face it, no one owes us anything. And it doesn’t happen that they give us everything at once, primarily because taxpayers are involved in the process, at whose expense they provide Ukraine with weapons. You need to talk to them, explain where and what the money is spent on, for what purpose weapons are supplied to another country, and so on,” said the head of the National Security and Defense Council.

However, he expressed confidence that Ukraine will certainly receive these ammunition.

"Let's wait. Let me remind you that when the full-scale war was just beginning, we had only 4 magic words: Javelin, NLAW, Stinger and Bayraktar. And you and I knew practically nothing else. Patriot was a fantasy,” Danilov added, recalling that now all these types of weapons, the use of which was previously considered “unrealistic” by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are used in the war against the Russian occupiers very successfully and in large quantities.
