The case of bullying at the Ivano-Frankivsk Lyceum was continued: three parents were brought to justice, and reports were drawn up against two more

Three parents, whose children bullied their classmate Jeremiah at Lyceum No. 4 in Ivano-Frankivsk, have been brought to justice. In particular, materials on offenses, namely improper upbringing, were prepared. The police drew up reports against two more for the fact that schoolchildren systematically bullied the boy.

This was reported by the head of the prevention police of the Ivano-Frankivsk region Alla Boychuk. In an interview with Suspilny, a representative of law enforcement agencies said that a report was also drawn up against the school director for the educational institution’s failure to report facts of bullying to the police.

“One protocol was drawn up regarding the failure of the head of an educational institution to report facts of bullying to the police. Two protocols were drawn up against parents whose children systematically bullied the victim’s boy. And three parents were brought to justice or materials were filed about offenses under Article 184, this is improper upbringing of children,” the policewoman said.

She explained that the students insulted Jeremiah, thereby committing an offense under Article 173. Regarding the parents on whom reports were drawn up, all materials were sent to the court.

According to Boychuk, verification of all facts continues. In particular, the survey of children, because there are those who refuse to take it or do not have time for certain reasons.

Let us remember that at Lyceum No. 4, 6th grade schoolchildren brutally bullied their classmate for playing the violin. Jeremiah's children sent private messages via Viber and wrote the words “cry” in the class chat. In addition, some of the teenagers threatened to “bruise” him and once pushed him out of class. After being bullied, the boy told his mother that he did not want to live.

Later, Jeremiah’s mother Oksana Krainik said that problems began in first grade. According to her, one day, when her son returned to school after a long illness, none of his classmates communicated with him. Only one boy came during recess and quietly said that the teacher allegedly ordered him not to play with him.

In a bullying situation, the class teacher stood up for the children and said that they did not insult the boy and could not push him out of the class. She assured that it was on this day that the schoolchildren had an educational hour, where everyone joined hands, forming a circle, including Jeremiah. In her opinion, the insults could only have been in the published correspondence. At the same time, the deputy director stated that there was a conflict in the educational institution.
