The court granted the request of the NABU detectives, agreed by the SAPO prosecutor, and chose a preventive measure in the form of detention
Today, November 20, the High Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a close relative of the former first deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, suspected in the case of causing losses of almost 13 million UAH to Ukrspetsexport. This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
“The investigating judge of the VAKS supported the position of the SAPO prosecutor and chose a preventive measure for one of the suspects in the case of causing losses to the State Concern Ukrspetsexport (part of the management of the state concern Ukroboronprom) of almost 13 million UAH, namely to a person whose close relative held the position in the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” the message says.
SAPO does not name the person involved, however, according to media reports, we are talking about Igor Gladkovsky. According to the prosecutor's office, the court granted the request of the NABU detectives, agreed by the SAPO prosecutor, and chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
For your information, in April 2021, SAPO handed over an indictment to Igor Gladkovsky.
In May, the HACC Appeals Chamber sent the case against Igor Gladkovsky, who is the son of the former first deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and the owner of the Bogdan corporation, Oleg Gladkovsky, to the Solomensky District Court of Kyiv.
Gladkovsky Jr. is a defendant in the case of Optimumspetsdetal LLC and is suspected of abuse of influence (Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code).
