Deputy of the Chernivtsi Regional Council from the “Servant of the Freak” party, Alexey Voloshchuk, did not return from a business trip to Romania.
It is unknown where the deputy is now. Because of this, he was fired from his position as head of the department for international relations and cross-border cooperation.
The Chernivtsi regional council published a commentary regarding the actions of an employee of the executive apparatus, deputy of the regional council Alexey Voloshchuk.
“On May 31, 2024, the head of the department for international relations and cross-border cooperation, deputy of the Chernivtsi regional council, Alexey Voloshchuk, went to Romania as part of the official delegation. He did not return to Ukraine on time. He didn’t show up for work,” the message says.
As the regional council added, his whereabouts are now unknown.
“According to paragraph 9 of part 6 of article 55 of the Law of Ukraine “On Local Self-Government” and paragraph 4 of article 40 of the Labor Code of Ukraine, Alexey Voloshchuk was dismissed from his position. Law enforcement agencies were informed about the incident in the prescribed manner,” the regional council reported.
The Chernivtsi regional council condemned the shameful act, which negatively affects the reputation of local government employees and the deputy corps.
“When we were abroad by invitation, on a business trip, we received a call from him that he had a stroke and was in the hospital. That’s all I can say,” said Deputy Chairman of the Chernivtsi Regional Council Nikolai Guitor, who was also part of the delegation, in a commentary to “Suspilne.Chernivtsi”.
The Servant of the Freak party does not comment on the escape of its deputy.
