The NABU detective finally complied with the VAKS decision, despite the resistance of NABU Director Krivonos

A detective from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine finally complied with the order of the investigating judge VAKS and, despite the resistance of NABU director Krivonos, registered criminal proceedings on the fact of complicity of the ex-head of NAPC Novikov and former deputy chairman of NAPC Sytnik in the theft of funds from 241 separate TrO brigades.

Let me remind you that the fact of theft of funds in the 207th separate battalion of the 241st separate TrO brigade was established in December 2023 during an internal audit conducted by the Regional Directorate of TrO “North”.

The audit established that for a long time the soldier of this battalion, Shabunin, did not appear at the military unit, and in case the fact of Shabunin’s evasion from military service became known, Novikov and Sytnik prepared letters addressed to the commander of 207 about Troops, Lieutenant Colonel Yushko, with a request to “second "Soldier Shabunin in NAPC.

Based on these letters, acting in collusion with Novikov and Sytnik, Lieutenant Colonel Yushko not only turned a blind eye to the many-month absence of soldier Shabunin from the military unit, but also paid the draft dodger monetary support and additional remuneration for performing tasks under martial law. Thus, the theft of state budget funds was committed, the manager of which is 241 separate TrO brigades.

On the fact of the theft of budget funds, the then commander of the Troops Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General (now Lieutenant General, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) Anatoly Bargilevich, on December 16, 2023, contacted the State Bureau of Investigation, located in the city of Kyiv, with a report of a criminal offense committed.

But investigator Roman Kolomiets, hiding the crime committed by Novikov, Sytnik, Yushko and Shabunin, did not include the message of the commander of the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the ERDR. In this regard, I submitted similar reports on my own behalf: to the TU SBI, located in Kyiv, in relation to Lieutenant Colonel Yushko, and to NABU – in relation to Novikov and Sytnik (because the complicity of category “A” civil servants in the theft of funds relates to exclusive jurisdiction of NABU). SBI investigator Kolomiets again refused to enter a report into the ERDR, although this time he was obliged to do so by the investigative judge of the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv by a resolution dated September 19, 2024.
