Donald Trump said that if he wins the presidential election, his administration will not put pressure on the crypto-asset sector with sanctions and new rules.
The politician spoke about this in a commentary for CNBC.
Answering the host's question, Trump noted his new line of sports shoes. According to him, some of the sneakers were paid for with bitcoins.
However, he himself did not invest in the first cryptocurrency. This is, among other things, confirmed by data from the Arkham Intelligence platform.
Regarding the regulation of this industry, the politician said the following:
“I see it [bitcoin] being widely used. I'm not sure I'd like to back out of that decision at this stage."
Earlier, Trump commented on his attitude towards Bitcoin, noting that the asset is popular and quite widespread. At the same time, for example, in 2021 the politician was a crypto-skeptic.
