Bilateral approach: the possibility of depriving state awards of traitors and collaborators

During the period of hostilities, state awards turned into symbols of heroism, dedication and the difficult struggle for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The title Hero of Ukraine was awarded to the Azov commander Denis Prokopenko (Redis), the deceased commander of the 1st OMB “Da Vinci Wolves” Dmitry Kotsyubail (Da Vinci) and the posthumous commander of the 72nd brigade battalion Andrey Verkhosmotr (Levsha). The Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky - cyborgs Evgeny Zhukov (Marshal) and Maxim Mirgorodsky (Mike). The holder of the Order of Daniil Galitsky is the head of the public relations service of the Air Force Command, Yuri Ignat.

At the same time, many of those on the Register of Traitors still have state awards. In particular, the title of Hero of Ukraine is given to the leader of the banned pro-Russian party OPZZH Yuriy Boyko. Dmitry Tabachnik was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnitsky, Ilya Kiva - the Order of Daniil Galitsky, Mykola Azarov, Alexander Efremov, Viktor Medvedchuk - the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise. Some of these people were found guilty by the court, while some were suspected by law enforcement agencies of crimes against national security.
