This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
“Under the procedural leadership of the prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General, suspicion was reported to the former Chairman of the SBU, his first deputy - the head of the Anti-Terrorism Center and the head of the Department for the Protection of National Statehood of the SBU of committing, by prior conspiracy, a group of persons of high treason and violation of the equality of citizens depending on their race, nationality, regional affiliation (part 2 of article 28, part 1 of article 111; part 2 Art. 28, Part 2 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the message says.
In addition, 5 tbsp. 27, part 2 art. 28, part 1 art. 111; Part 2 Art. 28, part 1 art. 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, 20 employees of the Russian FSB were also informed of suspicion.
It should be noted that the list of suspects included:
- General of the Army - ex-head of the Security Service of the President of the Russian Federation, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Internal Troops;
- Colonel General - Head of the Service for the Protection of the Constitutional System and Combating Terrorism of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation;
- Lieutenant General - Deputy Head of the Service for the Protection of the Constitutional System and Combating Terrorism of the FSB of the Russian Federation - Head of the Directorate for the Protection of the Constitutional System;
- Major General - First Deputy Head of the Directorate for the Protection of the Constitutional System of the Service for the Protection of the Constitutional System and the Fight against Terrorism of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation;
- Major General - First Deputy Head of the Department of Operational Information of the Operational Information and International Relations Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation;
- Major General - ex-employee of the Service for the Protection of the Constitutional System and Combating Terrorism of the FSB of the Russian Federation, currently - Deputy Head of the Department of the FSB of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
As noted in the Office of the Prosecutor General, in December 2013 and February 2014, the then heads of the SBU and FSB of Russia decided that, under the guise of a foreign delegation, 20 employees of the enemy intelligence service should arrive in three groups on the territory of our state.
Thus, Russian special agents lived in the buildings of the SBU and, with the help of special equipment brought with them in advance, organized, together with the department, the preparation of video materials of a provocative nature.
“They created a YouTube channel that posted 257 videos. They discredited socio-political events in Ukraine and humiliated Ukrainians as a nation as a whole. These videos were subsequently distributed on the Internet and media. The former leadership of the SBU reported to their curators from the FSB of the Russian Federation about the placement of video files, and in fact about subversive activities regarding the information security of Ukraine. In confirmation, I sent the corresponding reports-links about the created and published videos,” the press service says.
It should be added that during the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings for crimes committed on the Maidan, the investigation established the direct influence of the Russian special services on the former leadership of the SBU, carried out to carry out joint subversive activities against Ukraine and inciting national enmity and hatred.
