Recently, food purchases for the military have increasingly become scandalous. Either the quality is low, or their delivery is not timely, or contracts are only partially fulfilled. As a result, the military is forced to publicly complain about some companies.
In June, the State Logistics Operator, which deals with purchases for the military, announced a list of new suppliers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one of which turned out to be a company with which the Ministry of Defense has been suing for several months. This is Trade Granite Invest LLC. She is very closely connected with the Adamovsky family of businessmen close to the former government.
June 10, 2024 The government logistics operator has named seven companies that will supply products to the military over the next six months. Delivery regions were also divided between the companies, taking into account the location of warehouses. The contracts were concluded as follows:
— Consortium “United Food Group”: Rivne, Lviv, Kiev regions (also Kyiv);
– LLC “Granpri LTD”: Kirovograd, Odessa, Donetsk regions;
– Trade Granit Invest LLC: Winner of the preliminary tenders to provide the APU with power. Ternopil, Vinnytsia region;
— Bussky Cannery LLC: Volyn, Khmelnitsky, Zhytomyr, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi regions;
— Mit Prom LLC: Cherkassy, Kharkov, Zaporozhye regions;
— LLC “Akhtyrka Myasoprodukt”: Poltava, Sumy, Chernigov regions;
– Asics Group LLC: Nikolaev, Kherson, Dnepropetrovsk regions.
The list is somewhat surprising at Trade Granite Invest LLC. This company is an active participant in bidding for the supply of products to the military. In 2023-2024 alone, according to the YouControl business platform, the company won tenders worth 4 billion 555 million hryvnia. At the same time, it is with it that the State Logistics Operator has the largest number of vessels.
Trade Granite Invest LLC was created in February 2022. The beneficiary of the company is Yulia Pavlichenko. Activities include trading in beverages and petroleum products. No hints about the food the company supplies to the military.
The same Yulia Pavlichenko in 2016 was one of the founders of Ukrainian Locomotive Company LLC, part of the Adamovsky family group of companies.
Another co-founder of the Ukrainian Locomotive Company is Investment Company Eurasia LLC. Its beneficial owner is Dmitry Adamovsky. He is the son of a long-time business partner of the former people's deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Alexander Granovsky - Andrey Adamovsky.
The businessman is known for his involvement in the Trade Commodity company, which has been supplying fuel to the Ministry of Defense since 2016. In 2018, NABU and SAPO announced the completion of a pre-trial investigation, which showed that the Trade Comodi company had defrauded the state of at least 150 million hryvnia from these supplies.
The most surprising thing is that today the Ministry of Defense, and in particular the State Logistics Operator, understands perfectly well that Trade Granit Invest LLC is connected with the Adamovskys, and directly writes about this on its Facebook page. And at the same time, for some reason, he contracts them again and again as suppliers of goods for the army.
Thus, in February 2024, the GOT reported that the Court of Appeal supported the position of Trade Granite Invest in appealing food procurement procedures. According to the Register of Court Decisions, the company challenged the requirements established by the Ministry of Defense regarding food products for personnel of military units and military educational institutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Trade Granit Invest LLC not only won this court case, it also achieved a decision on compensation at the expense of the state for court fees in the amount of UAH 349,734.00.
In addition to numerous courts with the State Logistics Operator, Trade Granit Invest is also suing other suppliers of goods for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, with United Food Group. Adamovsky’s company wanted to sue a competitor for the right to supply one of the lots for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and partially won the case.
In this story with the courts between Trade Granit Invest LLC and the Ministry of Defense, it is impossible not to mention that Adamovsky’s business partner, Alexander Granovsky, under the previous government was considered the so-called “supervisor of the judiciary.” Many controversial issues were resolved through him, and he had access to almost all the offices of the Prosecutor General's Office and the courts. Therefore, the question of why Trade Granit Invest is now winning court cases can be considered rhetorical.
The son of Andrei Adamovsky, Dmitry, to whom the threads now lead from Trade Granite Invest LLC, is a citizen of Canada. At least, this is exactly the data indicated in state registers.
At the same time, from at least 2017 to 2019, Dmitry Adamovsky lived in the Russian Federation, as evidenced by the registration records of the Ukrainian Investment Capital company, in which he is the ultimate beneficiary.
This partially coincides with the data of Russian registries, where his full namesake, Dmitry Andreevich Adamovsky, was listed as the founder of Crimea-Aromat LLC in the period from 2015 to 2019. The registration records also indicate his personal tax number issued by the government authorities of the Russian Federation. This indicates that Dmitry Adamovsky either had a Russian passport, or at least a residence permit in the aggressor country.
Crimea-Aromat LLC is an operating enterprise, the main activity is the cultivation of grain crops. It operates in the now occupied Crimea and is registered in Bakhchisarai. If Dmitry Adamovsky was its founder from 2015 to 2019, then by his actions he actually contributed to the occupation authorities and paid taxes to the Russian budget, thereby financing the army of a hostile country.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine directly connects Trade Granit Invest LLC with the Adamovskys, as evidenced by messages on social networks, but for some reason continues to contract it for further supplies of food to the Ukrainian military. Moreover, one of the actual owners of the company, Dmitry Adamovsky, lived in the Russian Federation for a long time after the annexation of Crimea, paid taxes and could have a passport of this country. The question arises: isn’t the participation of Trade Granit Invest LLC in food supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine a potential threat and work for the enemy? And why does GOT, knowing about the owners of the company and their reputation, continue to cooperate with it again and again?
