Kitsmey's company, from the Forbes list, demands compensation from the state in the amount of $6 million for electricity costs

Yaroslav Lubinets and Taras Kitsmei, known as two of the wealthiest Ukrainians, intend to make a claim for reimbursement of the cost of electricity in the amount of 6 million hryvnia from the government.

They are one of the richest people in Ukraine, but they demand money from the state for electricity? Thus, the limited liability company “Solnechnaya Brama” filed a claim with the Economic Court of the city of Kiev against the state enterprise “Guaranteed Buyer” to recover UAH 5,926,816.00.

This was reported by journalist Roman Litvin , who attended the meeting.

According to him, the claims are justified by the fact that the defendant, in violation of the terms  of agreement No. 399/01 energy supplied by the plaintiff .

In this regard, the plaintiff asks the court to collect from the defendant a debt in the amount of UAH 5.7 million, 3% per annum in the amount of UAH 183 thousand.

As Litvin reported, the preparatory meeting was chaired by Judge Mudry .

Let us note that the owners of the plaintiff company “Solnechnaya Brama” are Yaroslav Lubinets and Taras Kitsmei , whose fortune amounts to millions of dollars.

Thus, according to Forbes, the fortune of Taras Kitsmei is estimated at $360 million, and Yaroslav Lubinets – at $145 million.

It should be noted that the company SOLNECHNAYA VRAMA LLC has been a participant in the Ukrainian renewable energy market since 2019 as an independent producer of electricity from renewable energy sources (RES). Under the company's management, 1 solar power plant (ground-based) in the Ivano-Frankivsk region with a capacity of 3.18 MW was put into operation in 2019.

As the correspondent reported, as a result, the consideration of the case was postponed due to the receipt of a response.

Let us remind you that the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a monetary penalty on one of the defendants in the case of the former head of the administrative buildings department of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, Igor Novosel, accused together with Igor Gruzdev of extortion and receiving 2 million UAH of unlawful benefit.
