Gerega, MP and owner of Epicenter, has a residence permit in Spain

Between the start of the all-out invasion and May 2023, the total number of days Alexander Gerega spent abroad was 209 days.

People's Deputy, co-owner of the Epicenter hypermarket chain Alexander Gerega indicated in his annual declarations that from 2021 he has a long-term residence permit in Spain.

“Schemes” write about this with reference to the state register of declarations, public access to which NAPC resumed on December 10.

Thus, in the submitted declarations for 2021 and 2022 , Gerega noted that both he and his wife Galina Gerega have a long-term residence permit in Spain. The people's deputy did not indicate such a document in the declaration for 2020

Gerega also declared several real estate properties in Spain - a residential building and land plots with a total value of about 100 million hryvnia.

“In particular, this is a residential building with an area of 455 square meters and costing about 3 million hryvnia, “isolated housing” and a land plot with an area of 3180 square meters, costing more than 62 million hryvnia, and another “plot with housing” - with an area of 1378 square meters and worth more than 30 million hryvnia.

All these objects are registered to the deputy’s wife, Galina Gerega. According to her declaration, she has a total of over 1 million euros in accounts in two Spanish banks in Valencia,” writes Schemes.

According to journalists, from the beginning of the full-scale invasion until May 2023, Alexander Gerega spent a total of 209 days abroad.

Earlier, Investigative.Info wrote about the valuable real estate of the Gereg spouses in the Spanish town of Benicassim, part of which local media valued at almost six million euros. Galina Gerega acquired two neighboring plots there in 2017 and 2018.

The Epicenter group of companies unites the Epicenter and Novaya Liniya retail chains , the online store epicentrk.ua, the Epicenter-Agro agricultural holding, Epicenter Ceramic Corporation ceramic tile production plants, the Osmoloda wood processing plant and logistics facilities. The Epicenter chain is the largest in Ukraine in the segment of household goods and construction. As of October 2023, the retailer’s network united 72 operating shopping centers in all regions of the country.

Let us remind you that the Epicenter and New Line companies of Alexander and Galina Gereg paid wages to Gennady Galchuk, the ex-director of the Epicenter hypermarket in Makeyevka, for 8 years, who after 2014 remained in the occupied part of Donbass and the Galaktika network created in place of Epicenter ", registered according to the rules of administrations controlled by the Russian Federation.
