Google introduced a new AI model called Gemini

Google has released its most advanced artificial intelligence model, Gemini. This model has the ability to process different types of information: video, audio and text, and can function on a variety of devices - from data centers to mobile devices.

The Financial Times writes about this.

“The Gemini version has been designed specifically to run on mobile devices and will be integrated into the latest Google Pixel phones. Pixel 8 Pro is the first smartphone designed to run Gemini Nano,” writes FT.

The company added that Gemini became the first AI model to outperform human experts on certain tasks, beating OpenAI's GPT4 model in several tests.

Specifically, it can solve math problems, analyze scientific data, and perform advanced coding.

Gemini will also be integrated into Bard, Google's English-language AI chatbot available in more than 170 countries, including the US, Asia and Africa, which the company plans to update with more powerful software next year.

However, Gemini will not yet be available in Europe and the UK, which, as Google explains, is due to regulatory interference.

“We are certainly working on this and are working closely with local regulators to ensure we engage with them before launching a product in any specific area,” Google said.
