The state enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” purchased 50 new cars for UAH 45 million

On June 4, the state specialized economic enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” entered into an agreement with Polesie Motors Group LLC for the purchase of 50 Renault Duster Life 1.5D passenger cars for 44.55 million hryvnia.

This information is confirmed by data in the ProZorro public procurement system, which Ukrainian News drew attention to.

The customer must receive the cars by November 30th.

The price of one car is 890.9 thousand hryvnia (including VAT).

The state specialized forestry enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” is the legal successor of a number of specialized state forestry enterprises (“forestry enterprises”). The enterprise consists of a central office, 9 regional offices with 148 branches, which include 1,451 forestries. The enterprise manages 6.6 million hectares of state forest land.

Let us recall that last year the state enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” announced a tender for the provision of “elite” consultations on issues of business and management. Information about this can be found on the Prozorro portal by noting the appropriate code: DK 021:2015:79410000-1.

At the beginning of 2023, it became known that key positions in the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” were entrusted to persons involved in high-profile corruption schemes associated with the ex-chairman of the State Forestry Agency Sivets - the latter is now a fugitive from justice in Russia.

Meanwhile, the forest industry of Ukraine is accompanied by high-profile corruption scandals, in particular related to tenders. Thus, during the war, enterprises from the State Forest Agency system ordered several batches of “elite” gift boxes for vodka at 4 thousand hryvnia each. And in Transcarpathia, one of the state forestry enterprises purchased jeeps for budget money, which replenished the official fleet of the director of the farm.
