The head of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting, Olga Gerasimyuk, believes that the state should stop official communication in Telegram and transfer it to other messengers.
According to Gerasimyuk, Ukraine is working with European partners to add the messenger to the list of digital platforms that are subject to regulation.
“In such cases of blocking or in case of violations of the law (they, - ed.) may be fined. How does this happen with other companies that are on this list,” she explained.
At the same time, Gerasimyuk noted that the work of Ukrainian intelligence agencies in Telegram is their business.
“(Telegram - ed.) is just one of the mechanisms for obtaining information (by Ukrainian intelligence - ed.). But the state is trying to do everything to establish contacts with digital platforms,” said the head of the National Council.
Gerasimyuk believes that government organizations should transfer official communication to other messengers.
