Thanks to the actions of the security service, sales of stolen aircraft components from Ukraine to Russia were stopped.
We are talking about starter generators and aircraft pumps with spare parts for the MiG-29 multirole fighters worth more than UAH 10 million.
According to the investigation, a Dnipropetrovsk criminal was involved in the deal, who in 2019 stole the corresponding equipment from the warehouse of the manufacturing company. The attacker then transferred the military products to an entrepreneur he knew for “storage” and subsequent sale.
It was established that the businessman had been hiding aircraft components on the territory of his own service station for a long time. And then, in order to implement them, he placed a corresponding advertisement on a specialized website.
According to the SBU, representatives of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, who were looking for such spare parts for the combat aircraft of the aggressor country, became interested in the published “advertising”.
Security Service employees documented the facts of criminal activity and blocked the sale of military equipment to the occupiers.

As part of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 3 of Art. 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (legalization (laundering) of property obtained by crime, committed by an organized group on a particularly large scale), an investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The perpetrators face up to 12 years in prison. An examination of aircraft equipment initiated by the SBU confirmed its technical serviceability for use in combat conditions.
