State Emergency Service: if you find yourself under the rubble of a house, the situation requires immediate action

Recommendations from the State Emergency Service specialists:

What to do if you find yourself under the rubble of a building

Do not panic. Information about an emergency situation is promptly received by emergency services. Rescuers will be on site in a matter of minutes and begin the rescue operation.

Try to shout and give signals as often as possible. Because while clearing the rubble, rescuers take breaks to listen to people.

Never use matches or lighters for signaling.

If you are noticed/heard, remember that rescuers need time to clear the rubble. Follow their instructions strictly and do not lose your composure.

In cases where rescuers have not yet heard you, proceed as follows:

Carefully and thoroughly assess the situation around you.

Try to carefully free your arms and legs. However, under no circumstances try to remove the rubble around you, as the unstable structure may collapse again.

If a part of the body is pressed by a piece of debris and it is impossible to free it, start massaging it above the pinched area. This will help maintain blood circulation and save the limb.

Calculate your strengths and capabilities. If you understand that you cannot get out from under the rubble on your own, then continue to call for help and wait for rescuers.

As Ukrainian News reported, the Air Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down 10 out of 10 Kinzhal missiles.

Today, January 2, Russian invaders attacked the Kyiv region with drones and missiles. The debris damaged a high-rise building, private houses and cars, an unfinished temple, warehouses and electrical networks. As a result of the shelling, the spouses were killed and there were wounded, including a child.
