In February 2021, a Skoda car was stolen in the Czech Republic. The driver was a Spaniard aged 48.
During border control measures, one of the cars crossing the border was triggered by the Interpol database: it turned out that a Spanish citizen wanted to cross the Ukrainian border in a stolen car from the Czech Republic.
The press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine reported this on December 7
During border control activities, the Interpol database was triggered on one of the cars crossing the border. As it later turned out, a Skoda car, driven by a 48-year-old Spaniard, was stolen in the Czech Republic in February 2021.
It is noted that the stolen car was discovered on December 6, at the Dyakovo checkpoint by border guards of the Mukachevo detachment.
“A 48-year-old citizen of Spain tried to cross the border in the specified car to enter Ukraine. The border guards reported this fact to the next Ukrainian Bureau of Interpol in Kyiv. The driver and the car were handed over to the National Police,” the press service added.
As previously reported in Lviv, a border guard “sold” positions in the detachment for $2 thousand. The transfer of funds took place twice, because the man to whom the promise was given could only pay $500. After transferring the second part of the amount, he was detained.
