From a pimp to an official: the former organizer of a “club” for the exploitation of girls, Natalya Kurovskaya, received a position in the Ministry of Defense

The recent appointment of Natalya Kurovskaya to the position of deputy head of the procurement policy department in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine caused a real flurry of indignation and discussion. All this is because of her past “exploits” in the criminal sphere.

The story began with her participation in a criminal case of pimping, which flared up around the group “Love is”, where she appeared with her ex-husband.

According to investigators, this “club” was recruiting girls for sexual exploitation both in Ukraine and abroad. This scandal attracted public attention to her, and Kurovskaya's name became widely known.

Natalia Kurovskaya was born in the city of Perm in Russia. Her family subsequently moved to Cherkasy, where her father worked first in the police and then in the Cherkasy zonal department of the Military Law Enforcement Service.

Her mother also held the position of deputy head of the department for receiving and analyzing documents in the Department of Information, Organizational Work and Control of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Natalia received her education in the legal field and for two years was engaged in entrepreneurial activities as an individual entrepreneur. In 2016, she worked as an officer in the legal department in the Main Directorate for Development and Support of Material Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Later, her life took an unexpected turn when she and her ex-husband, Alexander Kurovsky, became involved in criminal proceedings for pimping.

They were accused of creating a group in the “Love is” messenger, where advertisements with job offers for girls were posted. This “business” covered several countries, including Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Europe.

In 2022, Alexander Kurovsky was also charged with human trafficking. He was charged with recruiting and harboring citizens for the purpose of selling them to pimps for sexual exploitation in the Kingdom of Morocco.

Natalya and her husband divorced so as not to arouse even greater suspicion, but she failed to completely “hide” her story.

There is also information that she is a protégé of the new Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Dmitry Klimenkov, who previously worked in the circles of Igor Kolomoisky.

Critics believe that Kurovskaya's appointment to the position of deputy head of the procurement policy department at the Ministry of Defense damages trust in government and undermines public trust.
