The requirements for crossing the state border for drivers of freight and passenger transport on long trips have been relaxed: now carriers will be able to register up to two drivers for a truck and up to three for a bus.
The corresponding decision was made during a government meeting. It is reported that this norm comes into force immediately after the publication of the relevant changes under Resolution No. 57.
Previously, the rules for crossing the state border under martial law provided for the ability for only one driver to leave the country with one truck. For buses, this number was a maximum of two drivers.
“There are mandatory international requirements that determine the required number of drivers depending on the duration and kilometer of the route. This is not only about the need for driver rest and compliance with labor standards, but about the safety of the driver and passengers themselves,” the ministry noted.
