So, the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday decided to sell the state stake in the United Mining and Chemical Company (UMCC), which was sold last Wednesday by the State Property Fund at a privatization auction with one participant.
With extraordinary speed, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine agreed on the sale of 100% of the shares of UMCC LLC Tsemin Ukraine from the NEQSOL Holding group of companies, which is the owner of the mobile operator Vodafone Ukraine, for 3.938 billion hryvnia. But it's not about the money.
OGKhK is the largest enterprise in Ukraine for the extraction and enrichment of titanium ores. I will not describe here what titanium ores are, why titanium is needed, how Firtash’s pro-Putin escort group once took control of titanium ore deposits in the interests of the Russian VSMPO-AVISMA and the Ukrainian titanium industry as a whole, how the Russians made the United States and EU. On the basis of available materials, a multi-volume publication can be made about the passions around Ukrainian titanium. Anyone who wishes can find more detailed information through search engines.
I'm talking about something else. They sold and are happy.
They say they sent a good signal to the market by privatizing state property, and even under such circumstances - the country is at war, Russian aggression continues, and investors believed in us!
Who did they sell it to???
I am convinced that from the special services of Ukraine and not only the government and the authorities as a whole received information about the inadmissibility of such a privatization option, after which a new supply chain of Ukrainian titanium raw materials will be formed for the enemy, that is, for the leading holding of the Russian military-industrial complex Rostec, which produces all that deadly machinery that flies towards Ukrainian cities, industrial infrastructure and positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
“VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation” is part of “Rostec” (Incidentally, in response to periodic questions about how to read this abbreviation, I write specifically - VSMPO-AVISMA is: Verkhnesaldinsk Metallurgical Production Association - Aviation Special Materials.) Detailed, in the original language - this is “ Russian metallurgical company producing titanium and products from him, the world's largest titanium producer. The company produces more than 90% of Russian titanium, exports products to 50 countries, having about 450 customers. It is the only titanium company in the world that carries out a full production cycle - from processing raw materials to producing final products."
So, who did the traders from the Pechersk Hills sell the OGCC to?
Nasib Hasanov.
Few people know about this person, but he is considered the “supervising owner” of Azerbaijan’s assets outside its borders. He works in tandem with Beylyar Eyubov, the head of the presidential guard - a sort of Azerbaijani version of a silogarchy - an alliance between a security official and an oligarch. It is significant that when Heydar Aliyev, the father of the current uncrowned monarch of Azerbaijan, passed away, on the night of August 1-2, 2003, in addition to his son Ilham, the head of the presidential administration Ramiz Mehdiyev and the head of the president’s personal security “adjutant to his excellency” Beylar were present in the ward Eyubov, who made the consensus decision to appoint Aliyev Jr. as Prime Minister.
So, the Ukrainian titan falls under the control of a quasi-mafia group originating from a (un)friendly country.
Formally, of course, Azerbaijan is considered a friendly country, even in the “Foreign Policy Strategy” it is indicated as a strategic partner. Of course! Provides humanitarian assistance, advocates territorial integrity, congratulates on Independence Day, etc... But in fact, Azerbaijan is already in the camp unfriendly to Ukraine. If we take into account that the key roles in this camp are played by Russia and China, with which Baku is already linked by relations of alliance and strategic partnership, then Azerbaijan is on the side of the enemy. Its foreign policy vectors are clear and unambiguous - SCO, BRICS, EAEU.
In official language:
02/22/2022, Aliyev, Kremlin, signing of the “Declaration on allied interaction between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation”, two days before the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine: “This Declaration takes our relations to the allied level.”
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, 06/07/2023: “On May 25, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, for the first time in history, at the invitation of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, took part in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. Putin thanked Aliyev for participating in the meeting and emphasized that Azerbaijan’s relations with the organization’s member countries are constantly growing and are important for each country of the organization. Ilham Aliyev noted in his speech that although he participates in the work of the Eurasian Economic Union summit, and participates as a guest, he does not feel like a guest in the full sense of the word, since Azerbaijan has long and actively interacted with all EAEU states, with the exception of Armenia.”
08/19/2024, Aliyev, Baku, report to Putin: “The provisions of the Declaration on Allied Cooperation, which was signed in February 2022, are being successfully implemented. Our countries act as allies, as friends, as close partners and neighbors.”
10/08/2024, Kremlin, Aliyev-Putin meeting on the sidelines of the CIS summit:
Aliyev: “Today is also a good opportunity, as you noted, to go over these issues again, because the agenda is quite extensive, and those projects, especially the new ones that we outlined in Baku in August, require, of course, our constant attention and control . So today is a good opportunity to once again go through the agenda and identify specific steps to implement the agreements that we have reached.”
“There are many good interesting projects both in the energy sector and in the field of infrastructure development. All projects, both bilateral and unilateral, are promising, real and lively,” the head of the Russian state emphasized.
Azerbaijan, like its main strategic partner and ally Turkey, has not been noticed as having the intentions and capabilities to develop the titanium industry along the lines of the Russian one, although for Ankara the development of the aerospace industry and rocket science is a priority. However, the scale is not the same. Therefore, one way or another, through the Azerbaijani “laying”, the Russians want to restore indirect access to titanium raw materials from Ukrainian deposits.
The titanium case is very indicative in the context of another potential deal - with “Azerbaijani” gas. Pay attention to the official photo from the website of the President of Azerbaijan during a meeting on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference and the commentary below it:
“On February 17, in Munich, at the request of the opposite side, a meeting was held between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.” At the request of the “opposite side”... This is how Ukraine is called in Baku, while Russia, according to Aliyev, is “an ally, a friend, a close partner.”
P.S. Privatization of the UMCC is the next test before a deal with “Azerbaijani” gas, just as the test with “Hungarian” oil opened a window of opportunity for a titanium deal. Of course, we don’t see any traces of Gazprom yet, but they already exist (more on this later). On his part, in his usual manner, he voiced a proposal that is difficult to refuse in the Pechersk Hills, where they are already preparing for elections and forming an appropriate fund.
If the deal with “Azerbaijani” gas goes through, this means that the fifth column has persuaded Bankova to fulfill certain prerequisites from the Kremlin for one or another format of the negotiation process.
So far, it can be stated that the Kremlin has intensified its “assets” in Europe and Asia - Orban for oil, Fico for gas, Aliyev for titanium and gas.
