“Kiev Metro” announced a tender to continue the construction of the metro to Vinogradar

The tender documentation establishes a mandatory requirement: the contractor must have a license to perform work with a high level of safety

The Kyiv Metro Administration announced that as a result of the state examination and based on a positive expert opinion, the expected cost of the purchase will be UAH 13,956,843,711.13.

Proposals from tender participants will be accepted until May 28, 2024.

The Prozorro website mentions the construction of a section of the Syretsko-Pecherskaya metro line, which will stretch from the Syrets station to the Vinogradar residential area, including an electric depot in the Podolsk region. The first phase of construction covers the section from the Syrets station to the Prospekt Pravdy station with two stations, Mostitskaya and Prospekt Pravdy, as well as the section of the fork branch towards the other station.

In the process of performing work at the 5th and 6th launch complexes, the contractor undertakes to carry out the following activities: preparation of the territory (including the transfer of utility networks, communications, structures and buildings) and organization of construction, as well as the construction itself. The tender documentation establishes a mandatory requirement: the contractor must have a license to perform work with a high level of safety and be ready to eliminate possible negative consequences of construction at his own expense.

In December 2023, a message from the capital’s metro notified that the enterprise “Kiev Metro” had judicially terminated the contract with JSC “Kievmetrostroy”.

The reason for termination of the contract was unsatisfactory timing of construction work on the part of the contractor. In addition, a claim is currently being considered in court for the recovery of part of the advance payment, the use of which was not confirmed by the relevant certificates of work performed.

As noted in the “Kiev Metro”, the construction of a metro to Vinogradar is an important urban project, the implementation of which will provide the Vinogradar residential area and residents of the Podolsk region with reliable high-speed passenger transport.
