Many people have repeatedly expressed demands for consideration of the allocation of budgetary funds for the needs of the army.
Vitaliy Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed his dissatisfaction with the insufficient funding for the army in the city budget, which is due to be adopted on December 14.
At different times, Vitali Klitschko became the target of various conflicts, which is quite expected, given his role as mayor of the capital of Ukraine.
People repeatedly came to the Verkhovna Rada with posters and requests to consider allocating a budget for the needs of the army, while the mayor of Kyiv supported the allocation of funds for infrastructure projects such as paving stones, roads and other initiatives.
In the past, a petition appeared, if a certain number of votes were collected, the mayor of Kyiv promised to answer questions about budget spending. But the promised meeting never took place.
However, it turned out that such processions outraged the mayor of the capital. Today's meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was marked by Klitschko's remarks regarding the protesters at the KMDA, where he spoke about why people prefer to complain about the authorities rather than serve in the army.
“We have big problems with mobilization, when the vast majority of guys aged 20 to 40 come and say money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine... They provide moral support, if your heart hurts, why don’t they put on military uniforms and defend the country?” – Klitschko said at the meeting.
