Kolomoisky wanted to break out of the SBU detention center to be examined at “his” medical center

Since the beginning of September, the influential businessman has been under arrest in the SBU detention center.

The lawyer of the famous oligarch Igor Kolomoisky tried through the court to force the investigation to urgently consider the request for a medical examination of his client. “Glavkom” reports this with reference to data from the court registry.

In early October, defenders planned to transport Kolomoisky to the JMC Jewish Medical Center in Dnipro. There, the suspected oligarch wanted to undergo a medical examination. However, the lawyers had to obtain the appropriate permission from the detective of the Bureau of Economic Security and the prosecutor who are handling the Kolomoisky case. But the lawyers' request was only partially satisfied by a detective from the Bureau of Economic Security. Therefore, the court refused to respond to the complaint of Kolomoisky’s defense and closed the proceedings.

At the same time, on October 24, in the courtroom, Kolomoisky’s lawyer Alexander Lysak said that his client’s health had worsened in the pre-trial detention center. According to him, we are talking about a deterioration in the condition of internal organs. In particular, a stone appeared in Kolomoisky’s kidneys. The oligarch also suffers from pancreatitis and diabetes. However, there is no public confirmation that Kolomoisky was nevertheless taken to the clinic in Dnieper.

According to the Youcontrol analytical system, the JMC Jewish Medical Center belongs to US and Israeli citizen Shmuel Kaminetsky. This person is also the chief rabbi of Dnepr and the Dnepropetrovsk region.

In addition, Kaminetsky was present at the trial, where the issue of changing the preventive measure for businessman Igor Kolomoisky was considered. In particular, the chief rabbi informed the court of his readiness to take the oligarch on bail. However, Themis refused.

It should be noted that, according to open sources, the JMC Jewish Medical Center is related to the informal group “Privat” of businessmen Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov.

On October 27, the Shevchenko District Court extended the preventive measure for businessman Igor Kolomoisky. He will remain in jail for another two months.

By the way, it was previously reported that 23 rabbis approached the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andrey Kostin with a request to change the preventive measure against businessman Igor Kolomoisky.

Now the oligarch is being held in the SBU detention center, located on Askoldov Lane, 3A.

Let us remind you that, according to law enforcement officers, Igor Kolomoisky, in collusion with individual employees of Privatbank, took possession of considerable funds of PJSC Neftekhimik Prykarpattya, which is controlled by the financial and industrial group Privat. Financial fraud occurred in 2013. Subordinate bankers imitated Kolomoisky depositing UAH 949 million into the Privatbank cash desk. Next, the “virtual money” was credited to Kolomoisky’s personal bank account. Then the bank issued this money in the form of loans to PJSC Neftekhimik Prykarpattya. In 2020, this company settled with Kolomoisky for the artificially formed debt, transferring UAH 572.2 million to the oligarch. This amount appears in the case as damage caused to PJSC Neftekhimik Prykarpattya.

In addition, the investigation accuses the businessman of laundering funds through foreign bank accounts. In particular, 25.5 million euros were obtained through criminal means.

We would like to add that in July 2022, President Vladimir Zelensky terminated the Ukrainian citizenship of businessmen Igor Kolomoisky, Gennady Korban, people’s deputies Vadim Rabinovich, Igor Vasilkovsky and six other persons. This decree of the head of state is classified. Later, the Verkhovna Rada took away the deputy mandates from Rabinovich and Vasilkovsky.

In November 2022, Gennady Korban filed a lawsuit against Vladimir Zelensky. The businessman wants to recognize as illegal and invalid the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 502 of July 18, 2022 regarding the termination of Ukrainian citizenship in relation to him. The case is currently being considered.
