The commander of an air defense unit sold the bulk of his unit's diesel fuel

Employees of the DBR in the Odessa region brought suspicion against the platoon commander in the air defense unit. He is charged with selling more than 20 tons of strategic fuel during the war.

This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation. The serviceman was responsible for the supply and distribution of diesel fuel for the needs of his unit.

However, in order to illegally enrich himself, he sold more than 20 tons of fuel out of a total of 30 tons allocated for military needs. The damage caused to the state exceeded 1.4 million hryvnia.

After the start of criminal proceedings, he fully compensated the entire amount of damage.

At the moment, the platoon commander has been charged with neglect of military service (according to Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

This article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 8 years.

In this case, the Odessa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Southern region is leading the procedural management.

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation exposed the deputy of the Rivne regional council and the head of the region's forestry sector, Vitaly Sukhovich, of illegal enrichment for a significant amount, estimated at millions of dollars. As a result of the searches, more than 4 million US dollars were confiscated in various currencies, mainly in cash.

Let us recall that the State Special Communications Service exposed a scheme to steal 62 million hryvnia. The chairman and deputy of the service are suspected of participating in the thefts - they were immediately fired.
