Dynamic Yield, the artificial intelligence arm of Mastercard, has introduced a chatbot called Shopping Muse that acts as a virtual assistant for online shopping.
According to a press release, Shopping Muse is a “state-of-the-art generative AI tool that will improve the way consumers search and discover products in a digital catalog.”
Users of the chatbot will be able to make requests in simple language in the context of searching for the necessary goods, and the neural network, using “algorithmic content matching,” will select suitable recommendations.
Using integrated advanced image recognition tools, retailers can recommend suitable products based on visual similarity to others, even in the absence of technical tags.
The tool also takes into account browsing history to “better assess future purchase intentions.
“Personalization gives people the shopping experience they want, and AI-driven innovation is key to creating an immersive and tailored online shopping experience,” Dynamic Yield CEO Ori Bauer said in a statement.
Mastercard acquired Dynamic Yield in 2022 from McDonald's. The payment giant's subsidiary has offices in Tel Aviv, New York, Tokyo, Riga, Barcelona and other major cities.
Let us remember that at the end of November, Amazon Web Services announced a corporate chatbot based on artificial intelligence called Q.
