Tamaz Somkhishvili’s company from Russia consistently demands a tidy sum of $100 million from Kyiv.
The next hearing was scheduled for today, but the trial was postponed again. I told you back in March of this year that the Russian’s lawyers are trying in every possible way to delay the case. And since the summer, when one of the judges in the case resigned, not a single meeting has yet taken place and 4 panels of judges have already been replaced. What’s interesting is that each time the automated system selects two new judges except one, Judge Gennady Kravchuk was present in all four different panels in our case. Since the trial did not take place today, it will be very interesting to find out how the “blind” automated system will select the same judge for the fifth time, and how for the fifth time, the case will not be heard - this will only be in the interests of the odious Russian Somkhishvili. I hope this is just a very strange and random coincidence that Judge Kravchuk is always allocated to this monetary matter and then we will see a quick consideration of the case and a victory for the Kyiv community.
Also, before the meeting, I looked at the page of the would-be lawyer Russian Somkhishvili, managing partner of the Wolf Theis law firm Taras Dumic. And I was unpleasantly surprised. Taras Dumich and his company a few days ago were partners in the charity evening of the Ukrainian Catholic University. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by news like this. After all, during such a terrible war with the Russian occupier, partnering with the lawyer of the Russian oligarchs Somkhishvili, Fridman, Aven and other politicians is not respecting Ukrainian soldiers and not respecting their sacrifice. Such people, at a minimum, should be outcasts in a respected society, and best of all, their state should recognize them as collaborators of the occupiers. But, we see, money still doesn’t smell... it’s a shame, but time will fix everything.
