The former director of the Velor restaurant, owned by Nikolai Tishchenko, unexpectedly became the owner of an estate with a swimming pool in Kozin, an apartment in the capital and a Mercerdes-Benz minibus. Currently, this minibus is regularly used by MP Tishchenko.
Sergei Vakalchuk is the former director of PKF Rimid LLC (legal entity of the Velur restaurant), whose co-owner was Nikolai Tishchenko before becoming a deputy.
On June 17, 2022, a house of 322 m² in Kozin and two plots on the lake shore under the estate were registered in his name. The two-story house has four bedrooms, a cinema, a gym, an outdoor swimming pool, a sauna, a children's playground, a garage for two cars, and the like. The estimated cost of the house can range from $888 thousand to $1.8 million (with such price tags it was put up for sale during 2022-2023).
On the same day, June 17, 2022, Vakalchuk became the owner of an apartment with an area of almost 100 m² in the building where the Velor restaurant was located. The approximate market value of such premises is $270-290 thousand.
All of the mentioned real estate was registered in the name of the ex-head of the restaurant Tishchenko within half an hour.
In addition, at the end of August 2022, Vakalchuk became the owner of a premium minibus Mercerdes-Benz V250 2016 model year. worth more than $50 thousand.
This minibus began to appear in the publications of Nikolai Tishchenko and his wife on social networks from October 1, 2022. Tishchenko drove it to the de-occupied areas of the Kharkov and Kherson regions, visiting fraudulent call centers in Kyiv, as well as checking a pedestrian crossing in Uzhgorod.
The editors of Bihus.Info also recorded this car near the Verkhovna Rada on the day of the plenary session, which Nikolai Tishchenko attended.
According to journalists, Sergei Vakalchuk did not have official income that would be enough for these purchases. In his own everyday life, the former director of “Velur” used an Opel Vectra manufactured in 2008, and an Opel Corsa manufactured in 2017 was registered in his wife’s name. On the eve of the full-scale invasion, Vakalchuk most likely lived near Kiev in an apartment in one of the residential complexes in Chaiki (this is indicated by the corresponding entries in the phone book, publications of Vakalchuk’s daughter on social networks, etc.).
Journalists were unable to find Vakalchuk at any of the known addresses (even in a newly purchased house in Kozin). He also did not respond to phone calls and messages.
People's Deputy Nikolai Tishchenko left questions from journalists sent to him through his assistant without comment.
Let us recall that in September 2023, Nikolai Tishchenko was one of two people’s deputies who voted against the opening of electronic declarations.
Tishchenko is a people’s deputy elected from the Servant of the People party in August 2019; he was expelled from the faction at the beginning of 2023.
