In the spotlight

“Crypto preacher” Alexander Orlovsky bought a “very prestigious” award

The scammer is trying to gain respectability with the help of other crooks.

Alexander Orlovsky, a person involved in our investigations about information gypsies, decided to again improve his shabby image in a curious way. As CRiME writes with reference to [high-profile cases], just last Friday news appeared about awarding this young man the “prestigious” “Vibir of the Land” award.

“Receiving the Country's Choice Award is further evidence of customer trust, which is important for potential students,” the note said. “Alexander Orlovsky not only has deep knowledge and experience in the field of cryptocurrencies, but also effectively shares it with his students.”

However, the award was given not to Orlovsky personally, but to his “office” Financial Freedom Academy. But that's not the point. The point is that this award is no less “murky” than Orlovsky’s FFA Academy.

Let us recall that Alexander Orlovsky, at the age of 22, co-founded the investment club Investhub, and also founded the FFA Academy (Financial Freedom Academy), supposedly teaching people how to make money on cryptocurrencies.

Alexander Orlovsky is accused by a number of experts of several fraudulent schemes related to cryptocurrency. He, in particular, popularized training courses on cryptocurrencies, which, according to many participants, turned out to be ineffective or fraudulent. Often, people who paid for these courses did not receive the promised knowledge and experience, and they were refused to return the money spent on “training.” Many reviews indicate the low quality of training and lack of support after paying for the courses. At the same time, his followers are trying to clear negative reviews about Orlovsky’s courses from the Internet.

In addition, Orlovsky is accused of collaborating with the Russian platform VELES, which is allegedly fraudulent and has caused significant financial losses to Ukrainian investors. Part of the funds collected through this platform allegedly went to finance the Russian army.

Alexander Orlovsky was also found to have knowingly provided false investment advice, particularly on setting up a trading bot, which caused many investors to lose significant amounts of money.

The organizer of the Vibir Krainy award, which noted Orlovsky’s contribution to cryptomentoring, is an LLC of the same name registered in 2020, the general director and ultimate beneficiary of which is Ruslan Valerievich Lirnyk.

The main KVED of this company is “Advertising agencies”. According to public registers, the main type of income is “participation in the competition for the Country's Choice award.”

As you can see, in 2021, becoming a laureate of the “Choice...” cost 24,870 UAH 00 kopecks. without VAT. One can only guess how much Alexander Orlovsky paid for the “medal” now, but we believe it’s not very expensive either.

Paying for a nomination is the first sign of fraud or manipulation. In addition, we noticed that Country Choice, like Orlovsky’s FFA Academy, systematically removes negative reviews about itself from the largest review sites. At the same time, the award is bombarded with positive comments on reviewers by the same bots that promote scammers like Alexander Orlovsky (for example: 1, 2).

Despite the “cleansing” of the Internet, traces remained on the network (1, 2) that “Country Choice” has been aggressively promoting its “services” to business since its existence.
