“Energy expert” Viktor Kurtev, according to the media, does not have real information about the repair campaign.
Entrepreneur Viktor Kurtev is spreading misinformation about the repair campaign at nuclear power plants and their preparation for winter.
Thus, in his column in one of the Ukrainian publications, he stated that he expects accidents at nuclear power plants due to allegedly poorly carried out repairs.
“We cannot yet assess the quality of the repair campaign carried out this year by NNEGC Energoatom. Taking into account corrupt practices and debts to contractors, I predict an increased accident rate of nuclear units this winter, that is, there will be fewer in service,” Kurtev said.
In fact, Viktor Kurtev, who calls himself an “energy expert” in the media, does not have access to real information about the repair campaign that recently ended at the power units of Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
Speaking about some possible problems, he is manipulating, since all nine nuclear power units that Energoatom manages in the territory controlled by Ukraine, the repair campaign was carried out efficiently and in full. Nuclear power plants operate on the Ukrainian energy system, providing the production of more than 55% of Ukrainian electricity.
The disinformation spread by Viktor Kurtev benefits only the enemy - Russia, and the company that is an accomplice in Russian crimes at nuclear facilities - Rosatom. It is at Rosatom nuclear power plants that accidents often occur. Under occupation since March 2022, the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant is constantly on the verge of a nuclear disaster.
Let us recall that at the end of November, Viktor Kurtev leaked data on the protection of Ukrainian substations to the network . According to the entrepreneur himself, who has a lot of implementations behind him for various scams, he did this to prove the presence of corruption schemes during their construction. In fact, it turned out that he provided the enemy with detailed drawings, which will now help him bypass the defenses and hit Ukrainian energy facilities even more accurately.
