The Ministry of Defense could have purchased jackets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Turkey much cheaper than it was done.
The publication “Our Money” writes about this.
“Despite the attempts of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to present the story of the purchase of Turkish jackets as something close to market realities, this is not so. Here are some examples of how $86 per jacket is a super-margin deal worth $30 million.
Screenshots from Turkish sites show jackets for the military at prices ranging from 38 to 68 dollars apiece. This is retail,” the message says.
At the same time, the publication notes, in Ukraine, jackets from Turkey were put up for sale on OLX at a price of 1,000 UAH per jacket ($27).
“That is, they tried to fuse them with us actually at the same price at which they left Turkey,” the journalists added.
