Maxim Kiselev could have falsified evidence of the theft of crypto assets from him due to revenge

New details of the crypto scam of the director of the executive service of the Ministry of Justice, Maxim Kiselev, have become known. As it turned out, Kiselev began withdrawing funds from Ukraine through crypto almost immediately after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

In March 2022, Kiselev opened a current account in his name in the European bank Revolut, and sent a physical card to his wife Alexandra Goryaeva in Spain, where she lives with their children. Every month, about 20 - 30 thousand Euros were transferred to the card “for small expenses”.

The conflict between Maxim Kiselev and his friend Oleg Gromov began with the fact that on February 1, 2023, Kiselev asked his friend Oleg Gromov to lend him 520,000 Euros, allegedly this amount was not enough for him to buy real estate in Spain.

Gromov agreed to help, but the money was not transferred, since the bank had a limit and transactions for such large amounts were blocked.

Since Kiselev did not receive the required amount, he began to demand that Gromov urgently pay him €520,000 in cash. Gromov could not give him such an amount, which Kiselev took as an insult and decided to take revenge.

To do this, on February 14, 2023, Kiselev simulated the theft of cryptocurrency in the amount of 647,000 USDT from the Leger cold wallet belonging to him, in his words. And on May 5, 2023, Kiselev, using his official position and influence on the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, initiated the initiation of a criminal case against Oleg Gromov.

Despite this, absolutely normal, friendly and partner business relations in the field of cryptocurrency were maintained between Kiselyov and Gromov, until July 2023. The reliability of the above facts can be easily verified by requesting an extract from Maxim Kiselev’s account at Revolut Bank.

And finally, how interesting will the competent authorities comment on the fact that a current official of the Ministry of Justice can freely travel outside the territory of Ukraine in wartime and happily spend time relaxing in Spain, while the country is fighting the Russian aggressor?
