Maxim Shirokov, detained for taking a bribe, uses luxury cars during the war

Deputy Director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration Maxim Shirokov (former top USPA official), detained for extorting bribes from road carriers, issued a right to use two luxury cars during the war.

In January 2023, during the war, Shirokov received the right to use luxury cars: Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 (2019) and Porsche Cayenne (2021). The first car was provided by Roman Moisey, and the second by Alexander Ilyin. The latter is associated with the Odessa LLC TTG Forward, which is engaged in maritime transportation.

It is interesting that Shirokov has an unemployed wife and two children in his family. At the same time, he received a salary of 1.6 million hryvnia. But officially Shirokov lives in the village of Limanka near Odessa. He did not indicate housing in Kyiv.

But during the war, the Shirokov family registered two apartments in Odessa for their son Yaroslav. So, in November 2022, he received a property of 56.66 square meters. m for 1.08 million hryvnia, and in February 2023 – 61.6 sq.m for 1.57 million hryvnia.

As we said, a family lives in the village of Limanka in a house of 537.4 square meters. m. The estate and property have been registered since May 2023 in the name of Lyudmila Levchuk.

The question arises as to how such a large amount of property ended up not being Shirokov’s property. Firstly, he is hiding his real fortune from NAPC, and secondly, he has already been accused of negligence in the dredging of the Yuzhny port.

Let us add that three apartments and two land plots are registered in the name of the official’s wife Alexandra. The Shirokovs also bury their property in the form of unfinished buildings. The official declared an unfinished house of 11.1 square meters, another one of 76.75 square meters. m, as well as a sports ground of 133.24 sq. m and a garage of 60.58 sq. m.
