Mikhail Fridman quickly gets rid of Ukrainian business: How did this affect Lifecell

Part of the company is controlled by Russian oligarch Fridman.

After it became known that the Russian oligarch Fridman, through LetterOne, owns part of the Turkish telecommunications company Turkcell, the operator decided to sell the Ukrainian lifecell business to the French NJJ Capital.

It is reported that in addition to the authorized capital of the mobile operator Kyivstar, which is owned by Mikhail Fridman and partners through LetterOne, the Shevchenko District Court, at the request of the SBU, arrested the Russian oligarch’s share in the Turkish mobile operator lifecell, owned by the Dutch Lifecell Ventures Coopera.

After the publication of this news, it became known that Turkcell is selling its Ukrainian business - the operator lifecell.

Its potential buyer was the French investment company NJJ Capital, which will also receive related assets (Global Bilgi LLC and Ukrtauer LLC) with a total nominal value of about UAH 15 billion.

It belongs to the French billionaire and media mogul Xavier Niel, who started his business with erotic chats.

The reasons and amount of the transaction are not reported.

It is known that Turkcell owned 100% of lifecell shares.
